Home Study Courses
Some courses can be studied at home at your own pace. Whether you wish to acquire new knowledge, augment existing knowledge or help yourself get to grips with the theory behind practical subjects.
Coursework is carried out by completing our specially designed workbooks, carrying out research and writing assignments. All work is submitted to the centre where it is marked and commented upon to help you progress. A written test is taken at the centre.
Tutorial support is on hand to help you when you need it, either by e-mail or over the phone. Should you require it, face-to-face instruction can be provided at additional cost.
Level 2 Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology
Course Description & Information
- Whether you are following a course of study which requires you to
have knowledge of anatomy & physiology, or you are interested in
learning more about the human body, this home study course will give you
the knowledge & depth of understanding to help you to help your
clients.
Entry requirements - No formal entry requirements, but a good standard of written & spoken English is required. A course textbook is recommended (see Course Resources).
Course Content - Cells & Tissues, the skeletal system, the integumentary system, the circulatory & Lymphatic systems,
the muscular system, the respiratory system, the digestive system, the
renal system, the endocrine system & the reproductive system. Each
system is covered by completing a workbook and series of questions to
test knowledge & understanding. Tutorial help is available by e-mail
or phone.
Course Dates/Times - Any. It
is advisable to impose a timescale in which to complete your
qualification. The recommended timescale is 14 weeks and required hours
of study 80 hours
Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology

learning more about the human body in health & disease, this home study course will give you
the knowledge & depth of understanding to help you to help your
clients.

Level 3 Award in Healthy Eating & Well-being for the Client
Course Description & Information
- This qualification provides the therapist with a good knowledge of
nutritional needs and other requirements for healthy eating &
well-being. It is a valuable tool to have when assessing clients for
complementary therapies and can assist clients to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Course Content - Functions & roles of nutrients & foodstuffs,
understanding metabolism, effects of various processes on the
nutrients, food labelling, healthy eating, balanced diets, assessing the
client, advising the client on weight control, lifestyle changes &
nutrition. Each
topic is covered by completing a workbook and series of questions to
test knowledge & understanding. Tutorial help is available by e-mail
or phone. An assessment is taken at the centre.
